The Silver Scrolls are New Zealand's premier song-writing competition. Run by APRA the awards are based on song-writing rather than any commercial concern. the winner is selected by his or her peers - the other musicians who are members of APRA. The award ceremony is very special because it features performances of all of the finalist songs by other NZ artists. In recent years the awards have also included the admission of an artist into the NZ Music Hall of Fame.
This programme features interviews with some of the finalists and winners of the 2008 awards as well as highlights and performances from the award ceremony.
The programme was produced by community radio station Waiheke Radio.
